Lakefront Picnic and Concert

Join us for Concerts at the Lakefront This Summer

Meet at 6:30 pm at the Downtown Columbia Lakefront (Lake Kittamaqundi). 

Concerts start at 7:30 pm.  Bring your own picnic dinner and a chair or blanket.  Sisterhood will provide dessert.

July 19 (Wednesday) Savoy Truffle playing songs from The Beatles. 

August 3 (Thursday) Gary and the Groove  – good-time rock and roll

Cold Weather Shelter-Social Action

Every year Howard County faith-based organizations work with the Grassroots Crisis Center to provide shelter and meals for 20 to 30 homeless guests. This year, Beth Shalom is teaming with the Kittamaqundi Community to cover the week from Monday, February 20, through Sunday, February 26. Volunteering with this project is a powerful and rewarding way to serve homeless residents of Howard County. Here are some ways you can serve:

  • Work evening shifts (5:00 pm to 10 pm) at Kittamaqundi Community serving dinner and hanging out with participants

The speakers represent different perspectives on the sometimes controversial subject of internal Jewish debate on how Israel can best fulfill its historic mission as a just democratic Jewish State while ensuring its physical security and political future, and what we can do to help.
