As congregations across America join together to bring in Shabbat, join Beth Shalom as we celebrate Shabbat family style! Dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m. with Tot Shabbat at 6:30, Jr. Congretation & Adult Ed at 7:00, and Shabbat Services at 8:00. Registration for dinner is required, all other programs are free. 5:45 p.m.: Dinner (Preregistration required)
6:45 p.m.: Shorashim Tot Shabbat with Cantor Alan Rubenstein
7:00 p.m.: The Sabbath in Jewith Literature (Adult Lecture) & Jr. Congregation (for youth) led by Dr. Nagel.
During "The Sabbat in Jewish Literature," come listen as fellow congregants speak about Shabbat literature, ranging from short stories and novels to Jewish text, memoirs, and contemporary non-fictions.
8:00 p.m.: Shabbat Evening Services. Rabbi Grossman speaks on "The Secret Meaning of Shabbat."
During Shabbat Services, learn about the secret meaning and significance of the Sabbath and Sabbath traditions through the lens of Jewish Mysticism in this mini discussion.
Preregistration for the dinner is required, all other programs are free:
Adults (16+) - $18, Youth (ages 5-15) - $9, Children (4 & under) - free.
